As soon as the ice on the rivers, lakes, and canals is thick enough, the whole of the Netherlands sets out to honor this true Dutch tradition. Here at Het Amsterdamse Winterparadijs, you don’t have to wait, you’re guaranteed a perfect sheet of ice outdoors.
You may bring your own skates to Het Amsterdamse Winterparadijs, provided you do not have skates with sharp points (e.g., noren). If you don’t have your own skates, there are free skates available at the skating rink.
Please note that it is mandatory to wear gloves at the skating rink as well! So bring those as well.
To provide everyone with a beautiful skating experience, we ask that visitors stay at the rink for no longer than one hour. This allows everyone to enjoy our beautiful ice.
