With Het Amsterdamse Winterparadijs, we are aware that we can reduce our impact on the environment and we do so by the following points, among others.
- Christmas trees are composted.
- Decorations are made and reused for 5 years!
- There will be no flyering.
- Hospitality uses bio disposables for serving food.
- Wood is collected separately and collected by an artist who can make other things with it.
- Coffee grounds are collected and reused for growing mushrooms.
- We work together with local restaurants/entrepreneurs to stimulate the local economy.
- Cloths that we can no longer use are collected by Snuffelmug and made into new clothing for third world countries and people with small budgets.
- The Cinema is completely furnished with discarded furniture, which we give a second life here.
- We are a cashless event, so everyone pays by debit card and no coins are used.
-
New this year is an additional hall with a completely new Wonder World. This means around 5000 m2 extra space and new attractions. We don’t sell extra tickets so this is all extra capacity and more activities which means we reduce waiting times.
We are also working with arrival times this year to spread the crowds. This means you buy a ticket to get to the ultimate winter experience within a specific time slot. This will ensure a more spread out entry of visitors during the day.
-
The Amsterdam Winter Paradise is wheelchair accessible.
